SUPERGIRL Does a Prison Break in Season 3, Episode 13: “Both Sides Now” Since the Midseason finale, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) has waged a war against Reign (Odette Annable) and her Worldkillers (great hypothetical band name). Now as the fighting continues to ramp up in National City, Supergirl begins to quick her actions. Is she fighting because it is the right thing to do or is she fighting because she is hurt? Does her vulnerability or her strength define her as a person? In SUPERGIRL Season 3 Episode 13 “Both Sides Now,” Kara will struggle with these questions. The title, which also serves as a reference to the Joni Mitchell song, shows that Kara may struggle to fight her fellow Kryptonians who have been brainwashed. Kara has viewed the world in very black and white terms, perhaps she no longer will see it that way. This Week On The Arrowverse Week 12: Jefferson Pierce VS. Black Lightning The title also suggests a greater focus on the Worldkillers. After planning a successful prison break from the DEO, this Worldkiller will test the resolve of Supergirl and the rest of her team. To watch SUPERGIRL make sure to watch at 8/7c on Mondays on The CW. THE FLASH Season 4 Episode 13: “True Colors” In last week’s episode, the Warden of Iron Heights Prison revealed that he knows Barry’s (Grant Gustin) secret. However, instead of revealing this information to the rest of the world, he drugs Barry, knocking him out. The Warden makes a deal with Amunet (Katee Sackhoff) to sell Barry and the other metahumans from Iron Heights. Now, to help himself and his fellow inmates, Barry must join forces with his former enemies to make a prison break. It won’t be easy, as Barry will have to decide whether he should reveal his powers to his cellmates to escape. Meanwhile, while Barry has his own prison break episode, Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) gets a visit from an “old friend.” He reminds Ralph what an underhanded detective he used to be. This prompts Ralph to wonder whether he really is a changed man. Can Barry manage to escape Amunet with the other cellmates without revealing his powers to anyone else? Will Cecile’s (Danielle Nicolet) temporary telepathic powers pick up that the Warden is lying to her and Iris (Candice Patton) about Barry’s whereabouts? Will Ralph show this “old friend” that he really has changed? Find out on THE FLASH this Tuesday at 8/7c on The CW! BLACK LIGHTNING: Season 1 Episode 4: “Black Jesus” The clever name of BLACK LIGHTNING Season 1 Episode 4 is “Black Jesus.” It is a fantastic title because it shows how Black Lightning (Cress Williams) has become more than just a hero, he has become a symbol of a local savior to the Black community. No longer will black have to turn to a white protector for safety. Black Lightning now will protect them. BLACK LIGHTNING Episode 101 Review: Revitalization However, there is trouble abound in this mindset as we know that Black Lightning is no biblical figure but a man with his own family to protect. As Jefferson Pierce dedicates himself entirely to his fight against the 100 gang, what casualties await him in his struggle? Meanwhile, his daughter, Anissa (Nafessa Williams) is beginning to embrace Black Lightning’s vigilantism. She is coming into her own with her brand of powers. He will Lynn (Christine Adams) react to two members of her family being heroes? How will Tobias Whale (Marvin “Krondon Jones III) manage to target Jefferson and his family? Find out on BLACK LIGHTNING on Tuesdays at 9/8c on The CW!
