After meeting Mr. Flanery at the Wizard World Philadelphia press reception, he agreed to speak with Chris at his booth during the convention. Sean Patrick Flanery was incredibly playful and fun, which made for one of the best and entertaining interviews Chris has ever conducted as a journalist for ComicsVerse! Well, Come Find Out! Born in Lake Charles, Louisiana and raised in Sugar Land, Texas, Flanery attended the University of St Thomas in Houston where he took a drama class because of a girl. The girl was a short infatuation, but he found true love in college theater. Soon after he moved to Los Angeles and began his film career. Sean Patrick Flanery known best probably for his role in the cult classic film BOONDOCK SAINTS. He played one of the main protagonists, Connor McManus, alongside fellow actor and friend Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon from THE WALKING DEAD), who played his brother Murphy McManus. So, Chris obviously needed to ask about the film. Mr. Flanery shared much about his experiences and interactions with another co-star from the BOONDOCK SAINTS, Billy Connelly. Sean Patrick Flanery was also at Wizard World Philadelphia to promote his brand new book JANE TWO. His book tells of a young boy named Mickey who has a normal life in Texas. Things change for Mickey as a beautiful young girl moves in next door. It is a wonderful tale, one you should definitely pick up if you’re interested in coming of age stories.
