Scott Snyder and John Romita Jr.

Scott Snyder and John Romita Jr. are household names for any comic fans that are out there. Snyder, of course, was the writer of BATMAN during the days of the New 52. He has also written such titles as SWAMP THING, SUPERMAN UNCHAINED, AMERICAN VAMPIRE, WYTCHES, SEVERED, and the ongoing creator-owned AD: AFTER DEATH. During his time writing on BATMAN and DETECTIVE COMICS, Scott frequently revisited Gotham City’s mysterious past, building the city’s history as he created villains and found new ways to further develop characters that have been around for decades.

John Romita is known for his immense artistic talents. He’s provided the art for such classics as WORLD WAR HULK, DAREDEVIL: THE MAN WITHOUT FEAR, PUNISHER/BATMAN, and SUPERMAN. Romita also holds multiple world records for continuous cartooning, most creators on a comic, and fastest comic production. He was more or less born into the comic industry and has worked on almost every major Marvel superhero title at some point in time.

Scott Snyder and John Romita Jr have come together to create a new DC ALL-STAR title. Anyone familiar with the ALL-STAR series of the past—ALL-STAR SUPERMAN and ALL-STAR BATMAN AND ROBIN—knows that these series are usually packed with cameos from other DC heroes and villains. It seems that Snyder and Romita have taken this to heart because their title, ALL-STAR BATMAN, has more cameos than the fight scene in ANCHORMAN.

Following Batman and Two-Face on an epic road trip to find a cure for Harvey Dent’s little personality problem, the series has brought back plenty of villains out of the woodwork. This is because Dent has put a bounty on Batman’s head, and everyone wants to collect.
