Scooby-Doo and the Mystery gang have been around for over 40 years, and in that time they have gone through numerous incarnations. SCOOBY-DOO APOCALYPSE #1 is one of these new incarnations. Writers J. M. DeMatteis and Keith Giffen put these meddling kids in a pre-apocalyptic world where they’re the only ones who can save it. The story is inventive and the artwork by Howard Porter is impressive, but the comic lacks in areas where other Scooby-Doo adaptations succeed.
