There are 3 different types of shoppers at comic book conventions; take notes! Collectors: These guys drop thousands on collectible merchandise, from hard to find statuettes to rare comics. Art Fiends: All they want is custom art work. You’ll see them with shopping bags packed tight with poster tubes. Exclusives Trolls: Attendees come and buy hundreds of dollars worth of exclusives and sell them online to pay for their ticket and accommodations. This year, DC produced a pretty sizable amount of variant covers that were appealing. It’s clear that their marketing initiatives this year focus heavily on Batman and Superman, but I appreciated their effort to produce covers for a variety of series. Did you pick up any of these variant covers? What do you think of them? Tell us in the comments!
