However, sometimes criminals need a less delicate touch in order to stay in line. That is why it’s time for Red Hood to make his mark on Gotham’s underground in RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS #21 by Scott Lobdell, Dexter Soy, and Veronica Gandini. In this comic, Red Hood decides that it’s time to ruffle some feathers in Gotham’s criminal world. For this mission, there’s no better place to start than Penguin’s Iceberg Lounge. The Iceberg Lounge, while technically a “legitimate business,” is surrounded by illegal affairs. Nonetheless, Batman largely allows for the Penguin’s Iceberg operations to exist in exchange for intel about other crimes. We will discover whether Red Hood is as generous as his former mentor. If Red Hood really wants to put crime in its place, he may want to do things a little differently than Batman. The description for this comic states that Red Hood attempts “to further annoy the Penguin.” While Oswald Cobblepot doesn’t look very intimidating, it is a mistake to underestimate him. Cobblepot is secretly one of the craftiest, most manipulative, and most relentless bosses in Gotham. Red Hood needs to be careful.Meanwhile, RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS #21 deals with the aftermath of Artemis realizing the truth about Bizarro. Bizarro has been harvesting Kryptonite to ensure that he does not lose his remarkable intelligence. This Kryptonite affects Bizarro like a drug and its definitely harmful to him altogether but Bizarro is afraid to become simple-minded like before. In this preview we see a lot of heart from Bizarro – an example of a friendly giant. Artemis and Bizarro will have to find some other solution besides this Kryptonite to ensure Bizarro does not lose his intelligence. What will they do?
