Next week on ARROWVERSE brings us the finales for both SUPERGIRL and LEGENDS OF TOMORROW. Lex is in the White House! The Legends fight a demon with a theme park! These final episodes of the season are looking to go out with a bang! Read on for more!

Lex’s plan all comes to a head on SUPERGIRL next week on ARROWVERSE. Everything he’s done has been to project himself as a hero to the world, all while creating the threats he’s supposedly stopping. For instance, his defeat of Red Daughter, the Kaznian Supergirl clone, is fake as he’s the one who positioned her to be a threat. Now, Kara is going to have to do all she can to stop Lex before it’s too late.

The season finale of SUPERGIRL next week on ARROWVERSE is titled, “The Quest for Peace.” Which is awesome as it’s the same title as SUPERMAN IV! According to the synopsis, Lex Luthor descends upon Washington, D.C., and summons Lena and Lillian Luthor to the White House. When Supergirl realizes she has one last chance to stop Lex, she turns to the power of the press to help. This season has seen Kara relying on her skills as a reporter a lot more than in seasons past. It looks like it could be the key to stopping Lex.

The promo shows us Lex, standing in the White House. He says that everything he’s done has been strategic, leading up to this very moment. We’ve seen quite a few different shots from episodes past to drive that point home. We also see Lex in his armored suit, while Kara says that she has to stop him. “Soon Supergirl will be dead,” Lex says. Lots of explosion shots followed. Drinking champagne in the Oval Office, Lex says that nothing can stop him. Can Kara stop Luthor? We’ll have to find out next week on ARROWVERSE.

LEGENDS is an episode away from the finale, and there’s plenty to dive into. This week’s episode set things up wonderfully, continuing to balance multiple stories. Not only did the Legends attempt to retake the Time Bureau, but they also dealt with a Fairy Godmother-powered Gary. Watching the oft-put upon Gary trying to force his way into the Legends’ confidence was both hilarious and emotional at the same time.

The humor was necessary, as other storylines showed Constantine getting deeper into Hell, Ray/Neron’s plan coming closer to fruition, and Zari’s bittersweet return to her childhood home. The balance of dark and light storytelling looks to be a driving force next week on ARROWVERSE. The trailer shows a world torn apart by fear and paranoia, as the threat of magical creatures terrorizes the populace. These moments promise a great deal of tension to the episode (much more than Ray/Neron’s heavy-handed “Make Earth Hell Again” line). And with Constantine and Ray still in Hell, there’s a lot for the Legends to deal with. However, the Legends have a solution that is… well, very much the Legends—fight the powers of Hell with a theme park.

Hank’s plan for a magical theme park might be what saves the world. I’ll certainly admit using Disney World to stop a demon is insane and perfect for this season of Legends. That said, there’s still plenty of loose ends to tie up. Constantine and Ray still need to get out of Hell, and even with Nora looking for them with some… unique powers, it’s going to be a challenge. The Time Bureau needs to be taken back, and there are still magical monsters roaming around. However, if any show can tie all these ends up next week on ARROWVERSE, it’s LEGENDS.
