The ARROWVERSE shows are back on the CW, which means we’re back with Next Week on ARROWVERSE! Next week on ARROWVERSE, Col. Haley looks into Supergirl’s secret identity, Barry fights his anger, and we get introduced to Emiko Queen, Oliver’s sister. (LEGENDS OF TOMORROW will return in April.)

When we last left Supergirl, Kara (Melissa Benoist) had just locked Ben Lockwood (Sam Witwer) away. However, she refused to follow the orders of the president and reveal her true identity to the DEO and U.S government. She leaves the DEO and decides to go out on her own. During the ELSEWORLDS crossover, she gets some advice from Superman, and Clark has every confidence that she’ll be fine. Keeping her identity secret allows her to protect the ones she loves.

That brings us to the midseason premiere. Titled, “Suspicious Minds”, the synopsis tells us that Supergirl causes problems for Colonel Haley by refusing to follow her orders. In response, Haley decides to figure out what Supergirl’s true identity. Meanwhile, Brainiac-5 will be encouraging Nia to use and develop her powers.

The episode promo focuses a lot on Haley and her determination of Supergirl’s identity. She refers to her as an annoyance with her identity being a mystery that she will unravel. However, there is also a shot that looks as though we’ll be getting another appearance of what looks like a Russian version of Supergirl. We’ve only seen her a few times, but it looks like the CW will eventually be doing their own Supergirl version of the RED SON storyline. This particular story arc takes a look at a DC Universe if Superman’s pod landed in Russia instead of Kansas. He grows up to become the Red Son, becoming Stalin’s ultimate weapon. It will be cool to see what happens with this Russian Supergirl. I’m also sure that this isn’t the last we’ve seen of Lockwood either.

The Flash actually returned this last week with “The Flash and The Furious.” In that episode, we see that Nora’s alliance with Thawne is perhaps more than she bargained for. Weather Witch also “teamed up” (sort of) with Silver Ghost who could control engines and motor tech like cars.

Next Week on ARROWVERSE, THE FLASH’S episode is called, “Seeing Red.” The synopsis tells us that during a fight with Cicada, Nora is hurt and her speed healing isn’t working. This worries Barry and Iris and Flash confronts Cicada in his anger. An angry Flash rarely leads to anything good…

The promo confirms as much. We see Cicada going on a series of killings, leading to the fight with Team Flash that hurts Nora. Back at STAR Labs, we see that Nora is unable to move her legs. Even though Barry warned to not let his anger consume him as it did with Cicada, it looks as though Barry will be going after him from a place of rage. This season’s villain has been really interesting as it’s hard not to feel sympathetic for his plight. His motives are wrong, but his anger is logical. Putting Barry in a similar situation puts him on the same level as Cicada. Barry’s going to have to fight his anger, or else he’ll risk going down a darker path as Cicada has.

ARROW is back after its mid-season break! If it feels like forever since you saw Oliver and company, you’re not alone. It’s been just over a month since we last saw the reformed Green Arrow and his buds. So what’s happening with the team in this week’s episode? Well, we finally get a proper introduction to Oliver’s sister. After that surprise reveals in episode 8, we didn’t get much of a chance to get to know her because our heroes got drawn into ELSEWORLDS. But all of that changes with this week’s episode, fittingly titled “My Name Is Emiko Queen.”

The synopsis states:

“Oliver (Stephen Amell) is ready to get back to work with the SCPD and to focus on his marriage with Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards). However, when Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) tasks Oliver with tracking the new Green Arrow (Sea Shimooka) things take a surprising turn. Meanwhile, Diggle (David Ramsey) and Lyla (guest star Audrey Marie Anderson) must answer to ARGUS about Diaz (Kirk Acevedo).”

So even though the title of the episode blatantly says it’ll be about Emiko, the synopsis still leaves some of that up in the air. Will the team discover that Emiko is related to Oliver? One of the episode’s trailers has Felicity figuring out that the new Green Arrow is a girl and Rene talking face to face with Emiko. Will Rene find out who Emiko really is? Or will the team be left in the dark once again? With Felicity’s computer skills, I’d be shocked if she’s unable to figure out who Emiko truly is. On top of that, we get to see more of Diggle and Lyla at ARGUS. You didn’t forget about Diaz, did you?
