SUPERGIRL is off for one more week, but ARROW and THE FLASH are still going strong. ARROW is getting a horror theme, and THE FLASH sees Nora dealing with the consequences of time travel. Read on to learn what else happens next week on ARROWVERSE!

ARROW

Last week we got a documentary and it looks like we’re getting a horror movie next week on ARROWVERSE. Even the title of the episode, “Star City Slayer,” has a hint of that horror movie vibe. The synopsis doesn’t hint at anything too scary until the very end. “Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are disappointed after they learned that William (guest star Jack Moore) is hiding something from them. Wanting to focus on his family, Oliver steps back from his Green Arrow duties and lets the team take over tracking down a serial killer. However, when the team becomes targets for the killer, things take a bloody turn.”

That bloody turn sounds like there could be some real consequences for Team Arrow this time. The trailer adds to the feeling that something is going to go terribly wrong. The killer has been hunting the team for at least two episodes (you didn’t forget about those threatening notes, did you?), so they’ve had plenty of time to get their act together. Plus, when the team ventures into abandoned houses, well, it has horror movie killer vibes all over it.

I’m honestly not ready for another member of Team Arrow to get killed off, but a serious injury would raise the stakes higher. I am hoping that this slayer isn’t the villain Oliver and CO. have faced before. I like how this season has continuously brought new threats into Team Arrow’s lives, so I’m all for another person trying to hunt down our heroes. Well, as long as they survive next week on ARROWVERSE!

Next Week on ARROWVERSE: THE FLASH

Next week on ARROWVERSE sees THE FLASH focusing on Nora and more time travel. Titled “Cause and XS,” the synopsis reveals that Iris is going to be in danger, and Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) attempts to save her. Meanwhile, Barry (Grant Gustin) will be finishing Team Flash’s meta-human cure, and Cisco will take the night off with Kamilla, the bartender he met a couple of episodes back.

The promo shows us how time travel comes into play. The promo starts with Barry warning Nora that there are consequences for time travel. Then there’s the caption card: This Tuesday. The card keeps showing up again and again along with the same sequence: Nora speeding again and again while Cicada goes after Iris over and over again. It looks as though Nora keeps trying to change some sort of outcome with little success.

It certainly looks like she’s trying to prevent Cicada from killing Iris. Iris is definitely in his crosshairs due to their confrontation last week on THE FLASH. Could it be that Nora seeks Eobard Thawne’s help once again to change the chain of events from happening? We’ll have to see Next Week on ARROWVERSE.

Changes To The Standard Formula

We’re starting to see more and more deviations from the standard norms on ARROW and THE FLASH. Last week’s “Emerald Archer” episode of ARROW had a documentary style that was different and really entertaining. Hopefully, the next episode’s horror theme will be cool too.

Even though THE FLASH is going back to form a bit with a time travel theme, last week’s episode “Goldenfaced” proves they’re not afraid to go outside the box every once in a while either.
