We have all new episodes next week on ARROWVERSE for ARROW, LEGENDS, and THE FLASH! Canaries face off in Star City, the Legends meet Jane Austen, and Team Flash decides what to do with Nora. Read on to see what happens next week on ARROWVERSE!

(Sorry, no new SUPERGIRL this week…)

It’s a Canary showdown next week on ARROWVERSE’s ARROW, titled “Lost Canary!” Or at least, it seems like it’ll be. Don’t get me wrong, I like Black Siren Laurel Lance. I think it gives her that more biting edge that the former Laurel Lance was lacking. But I’d definitely love for Sara Lance to give Laurel a good whooping. It looks like the synopsis points that way.

“After being accused of murder and having her criminal past exposed, Laurel goes full Black Siren and teams up with an old criminal acquaintance, Shadow Thief, to go on a crime spree around Star City. While Dinah aims to bring Laurel in, Felicity refuses to give up on her friend, trying everything to get through to her, even summoning Sara Lance for help. However, Laurel rebuffs her efforts, forcing her former friends to face off against each other.”

Dinah is even getting in on this action! Three Canaries fighting in one episode is something I didn’t know I needed until now! That being said, I’m not sure that I actually want Black Siren back next week on ARROWVERSE. I was enjoying her being grittier, sure, but I find it hard to believe she would revert to crime again just like that. Regardless of her telling Felicity that they aren’t friends, I do think Black Siren has changed. After all, she could have easily let Felicity kill Diaz, who would’ve ruined Felicity’s whole life. But Laurel did more than just dissuade Felicity; she talked her out of it completely, giving her the encouragement she needed to overcome her fear of Diaz altogether. Now you’re telling me Laurel has given all of that up and jumped directly back to Black Siren? Seems odd.

LEGENDS has finally returned, and there’s a lot to go over. Their return episode began setting the stage for the finale, returning the Legends to fugitive status and giving our heroes new issues. Sara and Ava are on the rocks, Nate’s investigating his father, and Mona’s lost love, the Kaupe, left a lasting impression on her. This week, those arcs continued with some mixed results. The Legends are kidnapping a truth-infected Richard Nixon who is standard fun for the show. It gets more fun when the magic spreads into the Legends, making them spew unwanted truths.

Normally, this sort of thing can ruin a team, but the episode kept that to a minimum. The effect was largely for laughs, with only Sara getting real growth from it. Her breakup was handled well, especially when she realized that her over-focus on the mission caused her to ignore Mona becoming a Kaupe. The moments with Nate and Hank were solid, albeit a little rushed. I would’ve liked one more episode of their bonding before Hank’s death, even if it did showcase Neron and springing Nora from prison.

Still, they set up next week on ARROWVERSE’s LEGENDS perfectly, with a haunted funeral seen in the promo. There are plenty of questions. Is Hank trying to communicate beyond the grave? Will Nate learn the truth about his father’s death? Will Sara and Ava make any progress? How does Jane Austen and 1809 fit in? What is Neron’s big plan? LEGENDS has done a good job with its magical threats this season, and next week looks primed to continue the trend. There’s plenty of possibilities, especially with Nate thinking that Nora killed Hank. That could fracture his relationship with the Legends. Whatever happens, next week should be a very interesting funeral.

The truth is out next week on ARROWVERSE’s THE FLASH. Team Flash knows about Nora working with Thawne. Is there any way for them to trust her again? Titled “Godspeed,” it looks like Barry and the company will be trying to figure that out. The synopsis reveals that after discovering Nora’s secret, Barry and Iris disagree about how to handle their daughter. Because Team Flash isn’t sure they can trust Nora, they go through her journal to find out how she came to work alongside their nemesis. This tells us that perhaps there will be some flashbacks as to the hows and whys of Nora’s relationship with Thawne.

The promo confirms as much. Nora’s in the pipeline. Iris tells Barry that she’s their daughter, but Barry counters by saying that Nora has been lying to them since day one. We then see a flashback shot of Nora in a room full of crates. Ralph picks up Nora’s journal, telling Team Flash that the journal has everything within it from the say she arrived. Barry tells him to read it. Back to the flashback, Nora looks at Thawne’s Reverse Flash suit, picking up his ring. Iris says that she must have felt so alone. Barry claims that she wasn’t. This was followed directly by a shot of Thawne himself. He sinisterly tells Nora to run, just as he once told Barry.

While next week on ARROWVERSE’s episode looks to focus on Nora’s relationship with Thawne, I would imagine we’ll also be seeing much of her parents’ conflict. Iris seems more willing to forgive than Barry, so it’s up in the air as to what they will decide to do with Nora.
