‘Next Week on ARROWVERSE’ is going to be awesome, even if SUPERGIRL won’t have a new episode. Why? Well, the Super Bowl is on Sunday, the same day it usually airs. However, ARROW will be having its’ 150th episode, and Barry goes undercover as a criminal with Ralph. Read on to learn more!

It’s time to celebrate because next week’s episode is the 150th ARROW! If you were worried about this momentous episode, titled Emerald Archer, not living up to the hype, I think its synopsis might help clear that up for you.

“ARROW FILMS THEIR 150TH EPISODE AS A DOCUMENTARY ENTITLED “THE HOOD AND THE RISE OF VIGILANTES” NARRATED BY KELSEY GRAMMER: The 150th Episode of “Arrow” showcases a documentary entitled “The Hood and The Rise of Vigilantism” starring Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), and the rest of Team Arrow. As the camera crew follows Oliver and Team around to talk about their past as Vigilantes and what The Green Arrow means to Star City, Oliver must also deal with William’s (Guest Star Jack Moore) return from boarding school as well as a new threat to The City. The episode will feature “Documentary Footage” captured by the BTS Crew and interviews from those who have worked alongside The Green Arrow.”

I’m a sucker for behind-the-scenes footage from anything. But seeing it enacted on a TV show where the BTS parts are still showing the characters and not the actors themselves? Genius. I do find it intriguing that the trailer for this episode doesn’t give off that documentary vibe. It still has all of the action that we expect from ARROW. In fact, it seems to focus more on the new threat to the city mentioned in the synopsis. Either way, it looks like the majority of Team Arrow will be back in the field together in some capacity, so I’ll definitely be tuning in ‘Next Week on ARROWVERSE’ to see that.

Next Week on ARROWVERSE also brings us what should be a pretty cool episode of THE FLASH. The episode’s title is, “Goldfaced.” According to the synopsis, Barry and Ralph go undercover as criminals in order to get a device to stop Cicada. Iris investigates the lead in Cicada’s whereabouts and ends up putting herself in danger.

The episode promo focuses more on Barry and Ralph going undercover. It starts with Ralph suggesting that he might know where to get some stolen tech to take Cicada down. They enter a large market where criminals are selling several pieces of high tech weapons. A man who looks to be Goldface offers to make a deal, to which Barry says that they’re there to make a deal with the Devil. Goldface says that tonight they are working for him, assumedly to get the tech they need in return. There are several shots of Barry and Ralph arming themselves with high-tech guns, dodging shots in a crossfire.

John Krasinski playing Jim Halpert playing Golden Face in “Threat Level Midnight”

Now if I can just get past thinking about Micheal Scott’s film “Threat Level Midnight” from THE OFFICE, (his antagonist’s name is Goldenface) I’m pretty excited for this episode. I’m always a fan of THE FLASH episodes that deviate from the usual fare every so often.

Fewer Shows, but Still High Entertainment

Sure, SUPERGIRL’s not happening next week, but it’s still sure to be a blast. It’s not every day you get to watch the 150th episode of an awesome series. It’s also not often you see the titular heroes posing as criminals. Be sure to tune in ‘Next Week on ARROWVERSE’ and let us know what you think in the comments below!
