WATCH: We had the pleasure of meeting several artists and creators at the convention, so check out a few of our other interviews from NYCC 2016! One of the people we had the amazing opportunity to speak with was the voice of Constantine, Matt Ryan. He has also played the character in the live action television series CONSTANTINE on NBC and ARROW (for one episode) on the CW, but JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK will be the first time he voices the character. Ryan was very open to discussing his career and the film. We spoke with Ryan about revisiting the character, the differences between voice acting and playing the character physically, as well as what his future holds in the role of Constantine. It was an interesting interview, and Matt Ryan got us excited about the upcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK animated film. Since the cancellation of NBC’s CONSTANTINE, fans have clamored for his return, and they will get their fill of Matt Ryan’s Constantine in animated form. JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK releases in 2017 and stars the voices of Matt Ryan as Constantine, Jason O’Mara as Batman, Camilla Luddington as Zatanna, Nicholas Turturro as Deadman, and Ray Chase as Etrigan the Demon. The film is directed by Jay Oliva, and the screenplay is written by Ernie Altbacker. With this voice cast, the animated film is sure to please audiences and devoted fans of the Justice League Dark.
