While a few series avoided a relaunch makeover, many of Marvel’s staple comics are being reinvented in the coming months. The Marvel June 2018 solicitations are full of #1’s that will see the revival of a few beloved solo series’ including TONY STARK: IRON MAN, THOR, and the IMMORTAL HULK. Other solicits, like X-MEN GOLD #30, give classic characters new directions. Check out some of our top picks from the Marvel June 2018 solicitations below! DEADPOOL #1 Marvel June 2018 Solicitations / Courtesy of Marvel Entertainment The merc with a mouth is at it again in DEADPOOL #1! Writer Skottie Young and artist Nic Klein bring the Regeneratin’ Degenerate back to his mercenary roots in the first issue of the new series. Wade Wilson’s come on hard times, and since he isn’t really good at doing much, killing for money is his only option. While trying to bolster his fledgling mercenary-for-hire business, Deadpool encounters his biggest and most catastrophic threat yet! Until the world can be saved, Wade’s assassin venture will have to take the backseat. Then again, if Deadpool is Earth’s only hope, there might not be much of a need for mercenaries! DAZZLER: X-SONG #1 Marvel June 2018 Solicitations / Courtesy of Marvel Entertainment It’s all about the music in DAZZLER: X-SONG #1 as Alison Blaire tries to distance herself from the superhero world in order to focus on her passion. Written by Eisner-nominated Magdalene Visaggio and illustrated by the talented Laura Braga, Dazzler’s new one-shot will focus on both the rockstar’s new band as well as her ever-present mutant status. Although Alison may want to leave her X-Men days behind her in exchange for a singer’s lifestyle, a new punk gang threatens her dream. Will Dazzler go back to the world she supposedly left when the lives of her fans are on the line? Knowing Alison, we’re pretty sure she will (even if a Grammy grab is at stake). A Second Look at Magik: Redefining What it Means to be a Female Hero DOCTOR STRANGE #1 Marvel June 2018 Solicitations / Courtesy of Marvel Entertainment Doctor Stephen Strange’s newest journey is light years beyond Earth’s magical abilities! With the Eye of Agamatto closed, Strange can no longer access Earthly magic. That means there’s only one solution: astro-magic! Strange takes to the stars in DOCTOR STRANGE #1, written by Mark Waid and illustrated by Jesus Saiz. A new and exciting realm of magic awaits the Space-Explorer Supreme. But, where there are opportunities for the astro-magician there are also serious threats. Strange has been wracking up a serious magical debt and someone has come to collect it! Look out for issues #1 and #2 of this new series coming out in June. THOR #1 finds the hammer-wielding hero searching for some very precious Asgardian artifacts that have been scattered across Midgard. In his way stands one of Marvel’s most formidable villains: Juggernaut. Will Thor’s array of hammers be enough to slow down the unstoppable behemoth or will Cain walk away with Asgardian treasure? Follow writer Jason Aaron and artists Mike del Mundo and Christian Ward as they send the Prince of Asgard into a radically new direction full of fantastical adventures and Nordic puns. Kitty Pryde and Colossus are finally tying the knot after decades of an on-again, off-again relationship. Having first met in X-MEN #129 back in 1980, the two have had quite the history. Now, from writer Marc Guggenheim and artist David Marquez comes a colossal-sized issue with 40 pages full of wedding galore and surprise special guests! So, be sure to catch this special event when it hits stands this June! Kicking off this June with artist Andy MacDonald on the crew, MULTIPLE MAN #1 explores the return of Jamie Madrox. Back in 2016, he died as a result of his exposure to the Terrigen Mist during the DEATH OF X miniseries. Now he’s back, but he’s got a lot to deal with. He’s got some enemies trying to find him, and the X-Men are not very happy with him. So, how does Madrox plan on juggling all these conflicts? Well, get your hands on MULTIPLE MAN #1 when it hits stands to find out! MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE #4 Leaps Into the Multiverse IMMORTAL HULK #1 Marvel June 2018 Solicitations / Courtesy of Marvel Entertainment IMMORTAL HULK #1 is going to feature a unique twist on an iconic character. From writer Al Ewing and artist Joe Bennett comes a solo series with some serious horror themes. Bruce Banner is back, but this time, he’s truly exploring the dark side of the Hulk’s nature. Now, whether that’s a good or bad thing, we’ll have to wait and see. In another fun twist, Ewing plans on bringing on a new character that is heavily inspired by the 1978 “Incredible Hulk” television show into the series. So, prepare yourself for the chilling return of the one, the only, Immortal Hulk. TONY STARK: IRON MAN #1 Marvel June 2018 Solicitations / Courtesy of Marvel Entertainment Tony Stark has been known to maintain innovation and have progressive, fresh ideas. Most importantly though, he has been known to have the integral answers to the world’s most crucial problems. Now though, he isn’t so sure of what he truly knows. From writer Dan Slott and artist Valerio Schiti comes a work that will dig deeper into the Tony Stark we thought we knew. Slott promises new beginnings for our titular hero, a beginning where we can explore unexpected adventures with Iron Man himself. So, get your hands on this highly anticipated work when it hits stands on June 20th!
