SHE-RA AND THE PRINCESSES OF POWER focuses on Adora, a young girl who has been brought up alongside her friend Catra in the Evil Horde. Once day Adora gets mysteriously called to a sword in the woods. Although the trailers haven’t shown exactly how Adora becomes She-Ra, it is clear that she becomes the iconic warrior She-Ra. Along with this transformation, she makes new friends, including Glimmer, voiced by Karen Fukuhara, and Bow, voiced by Marcus Scribner. To celebrate the show coming out, the cast was at New York Comic Con 2018. ComicsVerse’s Jordan Parrish had the pleasure of sitting down with Karen Fukuhara and Marcus Scribner at NYCC to hear a bit about SHE-RA AND THE PRINCESSES OF POWER and their characters. Talking with Karen Fukuhara and Marcus Scribner Both Karen and Marcus point to the show’s diversity as something they absolutely love about SHE-RA AND THE PRINCESSES OF POWER. The cast of characters itself is so diverse, with characters in every shape and size. On top of that, it’s a mostly female-lead show. Karen especially mentions how that really impacted her and allowed her to fully embrace her character and voice acting. Both actors also got the chance to talk a bit about their characters and what really drives them forward. Obviously, the evil Horde is the first driving factor, but what comes after that? It was also fun getting to hear about who they would be if they weren’t their characters. We all know that Karen and Marcus love Glimmer and Bow. But sometimes, you just gotta dream! Be sure to check out SHE-RA AND THE PRINCESSES OF POWER on Netflix to see Karen Fukuhara and Marcus Scribner’s Glimmer and Bow!
