Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr Welcome back! We’re on Episode #4 of the Weekly Comics News Show — a (very, very, obviously) weekly program that brings you the latest in new comic releases and more. Host Patrick Aloia, his guest host (this week — Sam Sobel), and our creative team will scour through releases and news stories every week to get you exactly what you need to be up to date in the world of comics. Miss last week’s episode of the “Weekly Comic News Show?” Check it out here! This week we’re featuring stories on the AMERICA #2 cover release, DEATHSTROKE #11, and IMAGE’s 25th ANNIVERSARY. Last week, Gabby Rivera posted Joe Quinones’ cover for AMERICA #2, which paid homage to Beyonce’s “Formation.” DEATHSTROKE #11 tackles gun violence in Chicago, and Image Comics has a ton of special new comic releases and discounts to celebrate their 25th anniversary. For DC, we’re also talking about the recently announced story arc “The Button,” BATMAN #16, the BATMAN/THE SHADOW crossover, SUPERMAN #16, and a PLANET OF THE APES/GREEN LANTERN crossover with BOOM! Studios. For Marvel, we have BULLSEYE #1, KINGPIN #1 , and ELEKTRA #1. For Image, we’re talking about NAILBITER, PAPER GIRLS, INVINCIBLE, THE WALKING DEAD, and their variant covers celebrating their 25th anniversary. We’ll also be talking about Fantagraphics’ new comic from Daniel Clowes, LIKE A VELVET GLOVE CAST IN IRON, Joe Ollmann’s “THE ABOMINABLE MR. SEABROOK” released earlier this month by Drawn and Quarterly, and IDW’s FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS. Want more reviews? Check out our review of WONDER WOMAN #15!
