Have you also been enjoying the start of the new seasons of the Arrowverse shows on The CW? Do you have each of the dates marked for the next episode of your favorite superhero? We, at ComicsVerse, are the same way!

This is why we are starting a new weekly series “This Week On The CW” to speculate on the next episode of each of The CW superhero shows. Find out what has yet to happen on SUPERGIRL, THE FLASH, LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, and ARROW!

SUPERGIRL: “Far from the Tree”

On the last episode of SUPERGIRL, it left us with a cliffhanger as M’gann M’orzz AKA Miss Martin returns to Earth. She asks Martian Manhunter for some help dealing with a threat that he has risen on Mars. We see in the preview that both Kara and J’onn J’onzz are heading to a Mars for a covert mission.

This is incredibly exciting because we don’t visit as many worlds as we should in SUPERGIRL (probably for budgetary reasons). However, one of the high points of this show overall is David Harewood’s fantastic portrayal of Martian Manhunter. I look forward to exploring this character in more detail.

The promo for SUPERGIRL Season 3 episode 3 “Far From The Tree” shows J’onn meeting his father on Mars. Meanwhile, Maggie Sawyer will also reach out to her estranged father to get him to celebrate her wedding show with her. It looks like father figures will be a common theme in this episode.

Alex Danvers and Kara will surely still have troubles dealing with their biological father’s absence. Winn Schott still has a father who is in federal prison. Hopefully, this episode can expand upon the complicated relationships all these characters have with their patriarchs.

Don’t miss SUPERGIRL on Mondays at 8pm EST on The CW!

THE FLASH: “Luck Be A Lady”

FLASH seems to be embracing a lighter tone after the darkness of last season.  The new villain this week will be Hazard. Hazard is a metahuman who centers on bad karma.

The promo shows the whole Barry, Cisco, and Iris getting into crazy hijinks caused by Hazard’s bad luck powers. The episode is titled “Luck be a Lady” in reference to Hazard as well as the popular GUYS AND DOLLS song.

THE FLASH Season 4 Premiere: “The Flash Reborn”

We also receive a glimpse of Harrison Wells. Wells and Jesse are set to return to Central City from their home on Earth-Two. Hopefully, the show will find a way to make Tom Cavanagh’s Wells as a permanent character once again. His absence from THE FLASH has opened a missing breach (get it) in the heart of the show. As for why Wells and Jessie are traveling to Earth 1, perhaps the Thinker has influenced something over there.

Clearly, he is setting up metahumans like Hazard to attack Central City; perhaps he is doing the same on Earth 2. Is he going to try to split apart Team Flash by getting Wally West to travel with Jesse to Earth 2? We’ll have to keep watching to find out.

Until then, don’t miss FLASH on Tuesdays at 8pm EST on The CW!

Episode three of Legends of Tomorrow is sure to be an exciting one. The episode, titled “Zari,” will introduce Zari Tomaz who will be the Arrowverse’s adaptation of Adrianna Tomaz, also known as Isis. With Victor Garber leaving the show, it is highly possible that Isis could replace him.

Regarding this episode, look for Zari to be the central character (duh) that saves the team and the day in some fashion. Introductory episodes like this are sadly predictable and formulaic in this way. But, that will not stop the story from being a typical light, funny and enjoyable experience.

Don’t miss LEGENDS OF TOMORROW on Tuesday 8pm EST on THE CW!

ARROW: “Next of Kin”

ARROW Season 6 Episode 3 is titled “Next of Kin.” This is a reference to Oliver Queen passing the Green Arrow title down to his best friend, John Diggle. Oliver revealed at the end of the episode that he wants to stay safe for his son, William, and to do that he can no longer be the Green Arrow.

We, of course, know that Diggle is not up to his physical peak after suffering nerve damage at the end of Season 5. However, Digg may feel compelled to help his friend in this time of trial.

5 ARROW Season 6 Premiere Failures That Need Fixing (And I’ve Got The Fix)

I always love titles with double meaning and “Next of Kin” outlines how Oliver must decide between his son, his literal next of kin, and his team with Felicity and Diggle. Furthermore, perhaps we will get a hint at a Roy Harper return since Colton Haynes hinted at reprising his role.

There’s a lot of ways this episode can pan out, but I’m hoping for a darker look at John and Ollie’s mental states after six years crusading in Star City.

Don’t miss ARROW on Thursday at 8pm EST on The CW!
