According to producers Cort Lane and Sana Amanat, the series exemplifies an effort to broaden Marvel’s younger audience as well as introduce audiences to characters they may not know as well as Captain America and Iron Man.Both producers have quite the résumé when it comes to their experience in the Marvel Universe. Cort Lane has served as executive producer on a multitude of animated Marvel television series, including the Ultimate Spider-Man run in 2015. Sana Amanat works with the development of a variety of Marvel Entertainment stories. This includes the co-creation of Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel.In our chat with MARVEL RISING’s producers, we came to learn that Lane and Amanat want this franchise to reach a broadened audience. They intend this franchise to reach anyone and everyone, no matter age or gender. Ultimately, they want audiences to cherish the characters they have brought to life in animation, characters they too adore.What Lies Beyond for MARVEL RISINGAs aforementioned, MARVEL RISING: SECRET WARRIORS is the first of many works under the MARVEL RISING title to come. At New York Comic Con, Lane and Amanat announced two upcoming, highly-anticipated specials: CHASING GHOSTS and HEART OF IRON. These specials will feature Gwen Stacy as Ghost Spider and Riri Williams as Ironheart, respectively. So, it is safe to say Lane and Amanat are accomplishing their mission.They are providing beloved comic book characters with a voice in a different medium of entertainment.Thus, one cannot help but get excited over the possibilities for what lies ahead in MARVEL RISING.Be sure to watch MARVEL RISING on Disney XD!
