Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr This week on the Arrowverse, SUPERGIRL returns and BLACK LIGHTNING says goodbye… that is until season 2 airs. It is an ever-changing revolving door among these shows as we recently just finished the wickedly fun LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Season 3 and now we will have our BLACK LIGHTNING Season 1 Finale. Don’t despair yet! SUPERGIRL, THE FLASH, and ARROW will still be around for several more weeks to brighten your day. Here are the promos for every Arrowverse episode coming out this week! This Week On The Arrowverse Week 17: Can Speedy Rescue Roy Harper? SUPERGIRL Season 3 Episode 14: “Schott Through The Heart” Prior to the 9-week break, SUPERGIRL left audiences with a lot of questions. What is the true purpose Imra (Amy Jackson) and Brainiac 5 (Jesse Rath) came to Earth? How much does Lena know about Sam? How does she plan to help her? Will Mon-El’s (Chris Wood) rekindling love for Kara (Melissa Benoist) ruin his marriage with Imra? Unfortunately, based on the promo it seems that most of those questions are going to be sidelined for the time being. Instead, season 3 episode 14 will focus on Winn’s (Jeremy Jordan) family drama. Winn’s mother Mary, played by ROSEANNE and LADY BIRD actress Laurie Metcalf, has returned to her son’s life. It seems she wants to explain herself for why she abandoned him. It also appears that following his father’s death, a new Toyman has emerged. Supergirl: Coming Far and Going Farther Based on the promo it seems the new Toyman is actually a female named Jacqueline Nimball, played by Brooke Smith. She has her sights towards Supergirl and it’s up to the rest of her team to save her! It’s clear there will be a lot of focus on Winn’s family issues this episode and how he will face them. These Winn centered episodes are enjoyable, but I sincerely hope this return of SUPERGIRL answers some of the questions it left the fans with before it went on its break. SUPERGIRL returns Monday at 8/9c on The CW. THE FLASH Season 4 Episode 18: “Lose Yourself” I am pleased to announce that the previous episode of THE FLASH was not all filler. In fact, some surprising information was revealed regarding several characters. Including Marlize A.K.A, The Mechanic (Kim Engelbrecht), discovering DeVoe’s sinister secret. For the past few months, DeVoe has been drugging Marlize with the Weeper’s tears mixed with Dominic’s telekinetic powers essentially to keep her complacent and loyal to his plan. Also, the final scene of the episode showed Harry (Tom Cavanagh) in the future room re-activating Gideon. The common fan theory is that Harry from Earth-2 is Eobard Thawne in disguise. Not to mention a retired Breacher (Danny Trejo) offered his job to Cisco (Carlos Valdes) so he could spend more time with Gypsy (Jessica Camacho). Which would mean less of Cisco on Team Flash? This Week on The Arrowverse Week 14: The Return of John Constantine in LEGENDS OF TOMORROW This episode appears to follow up on last week’s plans to up the ante. Based on the promo, the Flash (Grant Gustin), Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker), and Vibe infiltrate DeVoe’s pocket dimension. Meanwhile, back at STAR Labs, Ralph (Hartley Sawyer), Iris (Candice Patton), Harry, and Joe (Jesse L. Martin) deal with DeVoe hacking into their servers and the return of the Samuroid. There are glimpses of Marlize sword fighting with Iris and possibly stabbing Iris. Also, the promotional photos show that a final bus meta, Edwin Gauss aka the Folding Man (Arturo del Puerto), makes his appearance. What will Devoe do to the heroes when their assault ultimately fails? What is Devoe’s plan once he has all the bus metas? Can Team Flash figure out a way to make Marlize realize she is being manipulated? This is shaping up to be an episode you don’t want to miss! Catch THE FLASH on The CW at 8/9c this Tuesday before the BLACK LIGHTNING Season 1 Finale. BLACK LIGHTNING Season 1 Finale: “Shadow of Death: The Book of War” This week the BLACK LIGHTNING Season 1 Finale titled “Shadow of Death: The Book of War” airs. The description for this episode is startlingly short. It only reads that “the aftermath of the showdown with Black Lightning (Cress Williams) leaves everyone reeling. Meanwhile, Tobias (Marvin Krondon III) gathers his forces.” In this episode, we can expect an all-out war between the combined forces of the 100 and the A.S.A. against Black Lightning and his family. Is Tobias Whale the Perfect Villain for BLACK LIGHTNING? The promo for the BLACK LIGHTNING Season 1 Finale has a voice over in which someone utters their own spin famous proverb: “an eye for an eye doesn’t solve anything. It just makes the whole world blind.” He then continues: “the blood, broken bones, pain you suffered… only you will ever know if it was worth it.” This is extremely foreboding for the Pierce family especially when most CW finale’s mark someone for death. I’d say that the Pierce girls are safe but Lynn (Christine Adams) and Gambi (James Remar) should definitely watch their backs. Meanwhile, I expect that Tobias Whale will survive his confrontation with Black Lightning but the Pierce family will have a small victory in defeating A.S.A. leader Martin Proctor (Gregg Henry). Make sure not to miss BLACK LIGHTNING Season 1 Finale this Tuesday 9/8c only on The CW! ARROW Season 6 Episode 19: “The Dragon” This week’s episode will have a pretty large focus on season big bad Ricardo Diaz (Kirk Acevedo) and his continuing efforts to take control of Star City. Diaz will be looking to expand his empire, meeting with several mafia families. It also goes on to say that after Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell) decision, Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and Curtis (Echo Kellum) double their efforts to build their startup company, Helix Dynamics. The decision that it refers to would be from last week’s episode where Oliver decided to go solo once more, in order to take down Diaz. This Week On The Arrowverse Week 15: LEGENDS Meets Groundhog Day The promo begins with Diaz speaking to the mafia families. He says that Star City is open for business, claiming that he now controls everything. Felicity then talks to Curtis, saying that there is no more Team Arrow. Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) tells Diaz that he is now a legitimate crime lord, which is followed by a shot of him punching a mirror. Oliver reassures Felicity that he will always come back from his mission as the Arrow, but Felicity counters by saying that that won’t always be his decision. Odds are viewers will be getting a more in-depth look at Diaz’ character than we’ve seen previously. Hopefully, Diaz will have a dynamic motivation for taking over the city. Also, the return to Oliver’s roots should be exciting and fun, even if the context for his choice is sort of odd. He claims that he’ll be better able to take Diaz down if he’s alone. We all know the real reason he’s alone is that he alienated most of his now ex-teammates…ARROW airs this Thursday, 9/8c on the CW [divider style=”shadow” top=”12″ bottom=”12″] Do you want to check out last weeks installment of “This Week On the Arrowverse” you can here!
