The CW continues to bring its A-Game to its four Arrowverse shows. This week we expect a lot of revelations with many of our favorite super characters. Kara learns what being super means, Flash trains a new team member, the Legends fight a modern Trojan war, and Oliver faces the repercussions of a past decision.

SUPERGIRL: “Midvale”

One of the most present and influential themes in SUPERGIRL is that of sisterhood. The relationship between Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Alex (Chyler Leigh) is a beautiful example of unconditional love between family members. However, it wasn’t always like that.

Alex used to loathe her younger, adopted sister who had taken up much of her parent’s attention. This episode “Midvale” will focus on how a traumatic event in Kara’s past brought the two girls closer together. It will be fascinating to see how this memory plays into events happening now, especially since Kara has been struggling with a lot of trauma recently.

SUPERGIRL: BEING SUPER #3: Home Is Where the Heart Is

I also wonder whether this episode is inspired at all by this year’s amazing SUPERGIRL: BEING SUPER, which focuses on Kara’s upbringing in Midvale. In that comic, Kara also reels from the death of a close friend. We’ll find out the parallels this week on Monday at 8PM EST on The CW.

THE FLASH: “When Harry Met Harry”

THE FLASH’s next episode reverts its focus to Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer) as he becomes the superhero the Elongated Man. Barry (Grant Gustin) will enlist Dibny’s help in facing off with a whole new meta villain. It looks like Dibny will take Wally’s place as Barry’s sidekick for the time being.

Just as Oliver has trained several heroes like Black Canary, Speedy, Arsenal, and Wild Dog, it will be interesting to see Barry train his own superhero. Cisco will also provide the Elongated Man with his very own costume. Right now the costume looks a little plain, so I expect that there will be some S.T.A.R. Lab upgrades coming soon.

Who is Clifford Devoe? THE FLASH Season 4’s Main Villain: The Thinker

After Wells (Tom Cavanagh) returned to Earth-1, he is once again embroiled in another mystery. This time it is about the identity of Clifford DeVoe. The episode, “When Harry Met Harry,” will have Wells summoning a “Council of Wells” to discover DeVoe’s identity.

Wells is my favorite character on THE FLASH, and I love when Tom Cavanagh has a lot to do on screen. Just as last season showed us several hilarious version of Wells, I hope to see Cavanagh play even more odd versions of his character. Make sure to watch THE FLASH at 8PM EST on The CW.

LEGENDS OF TOMORROW: “Helen Hunt”

This week’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW will feature a freaky Friday situation between Jax and Professor Stein. After Jax decided that he wants to break up Firestorm, it seems an experiment to break them up went wrong as the two switch minds.

Meanwhile, another anachronism is found in 1930’s Hollywood when Helen of Troy has started a war between two film studios. The Legends are going to have to focus on returning Helen to her time and fix the damage she has caused. Watch to find out what will happen this Tuesday at 9PM EST on The CW.

ARROW: “Promises Kept”

In last week’s episode Deathstroke (Manu Bennett) was reunited with his son Joe, and to his surprise – the apple has not fallen far from the tree. The next episode of ARROW 6×06 is given the ominous title “Promises Kept.” Longtime fans of the show will recall that in the season 2 island flashback, Slade Wilson made a promise to show Oliver true despair.

The way the promo is set up, it appears that Joe’s influence over his father forces Slade to keep the promise he made. While Oliver and Slade have managed to bury the hatchet, the addition of Joe complicates matters. ARROW has teased Oliver’s death so many times that we know Deathstroke won’t actually kill him. However, by not carrying through with the promise, it will most likely create a rift between Slade and Joe.

How will Slade’s decision affect his relationship with his son? You’ll have to tune in and watch ARROW at 8PM EST this Thursday on The CW to find out.
